We have been engaged to find a FULLY REMOTE experienced Delivery Manager to be part of a fast-paced team designing, developing, testing, integrating, and supporting technically innovative solutions for our Fortune 500 customers. Ideal candidate has direct client facing experience and is proficient in Data Visualization tools. Insurance (P&C) domain project management experience is ideal.
The Delivery Manager will manage a Large Data and Business Intelligence (BI) Production Support team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in effectively managing incidents, overseeing transitions, and ensuring seamless operations of Data Warehouse and ETL systems. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Delivery Manager overview:
- A clear understanding of the Project Management process, strategies and methods.
- Perform report rationalization & document solution(s) for standardization & optimization.
- Perform analysis on data and define Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
- Work with Change Control Management Groups for the project related code migration, upgrades & enhancements.
- Full Transparency on progress (JIRA) & Initiative on working methods.
- Ability to Collaborate with the wider team to share knowledge and improve quality of delivery.
- Manage a team of Data & BI Production Support professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the team, ensuring timely resolution of incidents, adherence to SLAs, and continuous improvement of support processes.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including business users, data engineers, data scientists, and other IT teams.
- Act as a point of contact for major incidents, coordinating efforts to minimize downtime and impact on business operations.
- Lead the planning and execution of transitions, ensuring smooth handover of new projects or systems to the Production Support team.
- Collaborate with the Data Warehouse and ETL teams to identify areas for improvement, enhance system performance, and optimize support processes.
- Develop and implement metrics and reporting mechanisms to measure team performance and provide insights to management.
Delivery Manager requirements:
- 10+ years of experience
- Bachelor’s degree, BCA/B Tech or equivalent in computer science or related field.
- Master’s degree is preferred.
- Experience in BI & DW domain
- Experience and knowledge of Insurance Domain (P&C) is ideal.
- Knowledge and experience in prototyping, designing, and requirement analysis & experience in data integration through extracting, transforming and loading (ETL) data from various sources.
- Proven experience in managing Large Data and BI Production Support teams.
- Strong knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and BI tools.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Solid understanding of incident management processes and methodologies.
- Experience in managing transitions and ensuring successful handover of new projects or systems.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP) would be a plus.
