Millwright/Industrial Mechanic (2nd Shift)Location: Cromwell, CTIndustry: Aerospace

Position Overview:Our client is seeking a skilled Millwright/Industrial Mechanic to join their team at a prosperous aerospace facility in the Cromwell/Wallingford, CT area. This position involves repairing and maintaining industrial machinery to ensure optimal operation. The role will be on 2nd shift, Monday through Friday, from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background, problem-solving skills, and experience in industrial machinery maintenance, particularly within the aerospace or manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Industrial Machinery Maintenance:

    • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial machinery, including CNC machines, conveyors, pumps, motors, and other mechanical systems.
    • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues to prevent production downtime.
  • Machinery Installation and Assembly:

    • Install, assemble, and align mechanical systems and components in accordance with engineering specifications and safety protocols.
    • Ensure that all machinery is functioning efficiently and safely.
  • Preventative Maintenance:

    • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on equipment to prolong machinery life and ensure reliable operation.
    • Lubricate, adjust, and calibrate equipment to meet performance standards.
  • Troubleshooting and Repairs:

    • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify mechanical failures and implement solutions.
    • Respond quickly to breakdowns, performing repairs and testing systems to restore functionality.
  • Safety and Compliance:

    • Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
    • Follow all local and federal regulations concerning machinery repair, maintenance, and safety.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Millwright or Industrial Mechanic, preferably in the aerospace or manufacturing industries.
    • Strong background in repairing and maintaining industrial machinery, including motors, conveyors, and CNC equipment.
  • Skills:

    • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic tools.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manuals.
    • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and the ability to quickly resolve issues.
  • Education and Certifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Relevant certifications (e.g., millwright, industrial maintenance) are a plus.

    • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
    • Reliable and punctual, with a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
