Electrical Drafter

The Electrical Drafter will support both new product development and ongoing production updates, including incorporation of engineering revisions and manufacturing redlines.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred
• Minimum 2-4 years of drafting experience in industrial electrical or power distribution environments or a BS degree with no experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical, electrical drafting standards, wire list generation and revision management
• Ability to read and interpret electrical one-lines, schematics, wiring diagrams, control drawings

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Produce engineering documentation including:
  • One-line diagrams
  • Three-line diagrams
  • Schematic drawings
  • Wiring diagrams
  • Wire lists
  • Interconnection drawings
  • Control panel layouts
  • Cable schedules
  • Bill of materials (BOMs)
• Support design documentation for medium voltage switchgear, protection and control systems, power distribution assemblies, control and relay applications
• Incorporate engineering updates, manufacturing redlines, and production feedback into released drawings
• Coordinate with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve drawing discrepancies and support production needs
• Assist with drawing revisions and workflow updates within the PLM system
• Maintain drawing accuracy and compliance with company drafting standards
• Support continuous improvement and standardization of electrical drawing packages
