This full-time, permanent 2nd Shift Controls Technician - Up to $38/hr | Career Training(Tulsa, OK) is at a trusted and well-established commercial product manufacturer that values its employees and fosters a supportive work environment. This position is based in a state-of-the-art automation facility in Tulsa. The employer views employees as their most important asset and heavily invests in training and growing employees. Unlike many manufacturers, they build their own equipment for their manufacturing facilities. There are a lot of promotional opportunities to move up or to go into other areas of the company.

 

The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate will include the following:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot basic electrical circuits, electromechanical systems, and electric controls for hydraulic systems to support round-the-clock operations
  • Perform basic laser application checks, resolve cutting issues, and conduct system calibrations to ensure high-precision production standards
  • Respond to production and maintenance requests, complete preventative maintenance tasks, and follow up on repairs to ensure proper system operation
  • Maintain clear communication with stakeholders, document all work in the CMMS, and report critical asset changes or complications to the technical lead
  • Manage basic project work and assist the senior automation team with complex projects, including coordinating with OEM technical service for on-site support

 

The background of the successful candidate must include the following to be considered:

  • Associate degree in Electromechanical, Electronics, Automation, or a related field is required (or equivalent years of job experience)
  • 0-2 years of relevant work experience in industrial equipment, power distribution, or automation in a manufacturing environment
  • Basic troubleshooting skills and a fundamental understanding of electrical and mechanical principles
  • Ability to travel 10-25% of the time for training and support at other domestic facilities
  • Must be reliable, possess a professional attitude, and have a solid work history
  • Being a US citizen or green card holder with a residence within a 45-minute drive of Tulsa, OK
