We’re hiring a Field Quality Control (QC) Manager for a major water treatment plant project in Santa Clara County, supporting work for Santa Clara Valley Water District (SCVWD). This is a full-time, on-site role tied to a four-year project assignment, offering long-term stability and real authority.

This contractor is a respected heavy civil builder delivering water, wastewater, and public works projects across California. Quality, safety, and regulatory compliance are core to how they operate—not afterthoughts.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the project Quality Control Plan

• Conduct daily inspections of construction activities

• Oversee testing, inspections, and QC documentation

• Manage Non-Compliance Notices (NCNs) and corrective actions

• Maintain complete QC records and reports

• Coordinate with engineers, inspectors, and testing labs

• Supervise QC inspectors and specialty personnel

• Ensure subcontractor compliance with quality requirements

• Be on site whenever permanent work is installed

Ideal Candidate

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management plus 10+ years of relevant experience
  OR 15 years of relevant heavy civil / water infrastructure experience

• Completion of Construction Quality Management for Contractors (USACE/NAVFAC)

• Experience on water or wastewater treatment plants or large public works projects

• Proven experience managing a project-wide QC program

• Strong documentation, inspection, and compliance leadership skills

Compensation & Role Details

• Base Salary: $120,000 – $140,000 (DOE)

• Full-time, on-site role
