We’re hiring a Field Quality Control (QC) Manager for a major water treatment plant project in Santa Clara County, supporting work for Santa Clara Valley Water District (SCVWD). This is a full-time, on-site role tied to a four-year project assignment, offering long-term stability and real authority.
This contractor is a respected heavy civil builder delivering water, wastewater, and public works projects across California. Quality, safety, and regulatory compliance are core to how they operate—not afterthoughts.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement the project Quality Control Plan

Conduct daily inspections of construction activities

Oversee testing, inspections, and QC documentation
-
Manage Non-Compliance Notices (NCNs) and corrective actions
-
Maintain complete QC records and reports
-
Coordinate with engineers, inspectors, and testing labs
-
Supervise QC inspectors and specialty personnel
-
Ensure subcontractor compliance with quality requirements
-
Be on site whenever permanent work is installed
Ideal Candidate
-
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management plus 10+ years of relevant experience
OR 15 years of relevant heavy civil / water infrastructure experience -
Completion of Construction Quality Management for Contractors (USACE/NAVFAC)

Experience on water or wastewater treatment plants or large public works projects

Proven experience managing a project-wide QC program

Strong documentation, inspection, and compliance leadership skills
