A well-established structural steel contractor is seeking an Estimator to support ongoing and upcoming projects out of its Lakewood, WA office. This role is part of a planned transition due to an upcoming retirement and offers long-term stability within a collaborative estimating team.
The Role
The Estimator will prepare accurate, detail-driven estimates for structural steel scopes, working closely with company leadership throughout the bid and review process. This is a hands-on estimating role focused on plan review, material takeoffs, and practical construction understanding.
What We’re Looking For
Field experience is strongly valued, though experienced structural estimators without field backgrounds will also be considered.

What We’re Looking For
- Structural steel experience (required)
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Background in steel installation, fabrication, or structural estimating
- Practical understanding of how steel projects are built
- Comfortable working in a primarily office-based environment

Work Environment
- 95% in-office role based in Lakewood, WA
- No remote or hybrid option
- Occasional job walks as needed
- Travel required (approximately 40–50%), including Arizona and other U.S. locations
- Company-provided housing during travel, as needed
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $70,000–$85,000, depending on experience
- Vacation: 2 weeks
- Sick Time: 52 hours annually
- Holidays: 8 union holidays (Nevada projects)
