Senior Estimator – Heavy Civil Construction

Salary: $100,000–$125,000 + Bonus

What You’ll Do

As the Senior Estimator, you will lead the preparation of competitive, accurate bids for heavy civil infrastructure projects. You will collaborate closely with project managers, vendors, and executive leadership to ensure estimates are strategic, data-driven, and aligned with revenue goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret and analyze blueprints, drawings, and bid specifications

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment

• Perform quantity takeoffs and evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotes

• Develop competitive pricing strategies for civil infrastructure projects

• Manage multiple bids from preconstruction through final submission

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure scope alignment and accuracy

• Participate in pre-bid meetings and internal estimating reviews

• Track and evaluate bid performance to improve win rates

What You Bring

• 7+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil construction

• Proven experience with civil projects such as site development, roadways, underground utilities, and infrastructure work

• Strong blueprint reading and takeoff skills

• Experience managing full bid cycles independently

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work full-time on-site in Chagrin Falls, OH

Experience with HCSS HeavyBid is a strong plus.
