Service Estimator / Project Manager – Electrical Construction
Location: Woodland, CA / Greater Sacramento Area
Compensation: $110,000–$140,000 Base + Bonus
Bonus Potential: Up to $15,000–$20,000 annually
Company Vehicle: Brand-new truck provided
ParkerBeth Search Partners is recruiting for an experienced Service Estimator / Project Manager to join a well-established, family-owned electrical contractor serving Northern California for more than 40 years.
This is not a traditional desk-based estimating role. We are looking for someone who understands the service and special-project side of electrical construction and wants ownership of the entire process—from developing the opportunity and walking the job to estimating, winning the work, and managing the project through completion.
The right person will have strong electrical knowledge, customer credibility, and a natural ability to develop business. You should be comfortable getting in front of customers, networking, identifying opportunities, and building relationships rather than relying entirely on incoming bid invitations.
What You’ll Do
- Develop new commercial and industrial service opportunities
- Build relationships with new and existing customers
- Attend industry events and actively network in the market
- Walk jobs and develop scopes of work
- Estimate retrofit, remodel, service, and special projects
- Review drawings, specifications, material requirements, and vendor pricing
- Prepare and follow up on competitive electrical bids
- Manage awarded projects from kickoff through completion
- Coordinate technicians, materials, schedules, subcontractors, and change orders
- Monitor project costs, profitability, quality, and customer satisfaction
- Support field teams with technical and project-related questions
- Build repeat business from completed projects
Approximately 20–30% of the role will be spent in the field or market walking projects, meeting customers, and developing business. The remainder will be focused on estimating and managing projects from the office.
What We’re Looking For
- Commercial and/or industrial electrical service experience
- Electrical estimating experience
- Project management experience
- Strong understanding of retrofit, remodel, and special-project work
- Ability to independently walk, scope, and price electrical projects
- Experience managing awarded work through completion
- Strong customer communication and relationship-building skills
- A genuine hunter mentality and willingness to develop new business
A journeyman-level electrical background is highly attractive, particularly for someone who has progressed into estimating or project management.
Experience with McCormick estimating software is preferred, although comparable electrical estimating software experience will be considered.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
This position gives you considerably more ownership than a traditional Estimator or Project Manager role. You can develop the customer, win the project, manage the work, and benefit financially from the business you create.
The company offers an established name in Northern California, direct access to leadership, significant autonomy, and the opportunity to play an important role in growing its service and special-project business.
Compensation & Benefits
- $110,000–$140,000 base salary DOE
- Approximately $15,000–$20,000 annual bonus potential
- Bonus tied to personally won and completed work
- Brand-new company truck
- Company fuel
- Medical insurance
- Dental insurance
- HSA option
- Retirement plan
- Paid vacation/PTO
- Paid holidays
- Training and professional development
- Long-term advancement opportunities
If you have built your career in electrical service and are ready for a position with greater ownership, customer interaction, autonomy, and earning potential, we want to hear from you.
