Industrial Pump Mechanic (Levels C, B, A, or Master)

Overview
We are recruiting experienced Industrial Pump Mechanics at multiple skill levels (Mechanic C, B, A, and Master) to support the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of diesel and gasoline-powered industrial pumping equipment. This role combines shop work with occasional field service and offers strong long-term growth for skilled mechanics.
What You’ll Be Doing
Depending on experience level, responsibilities may include:
- Inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and rebuilding industrial, centrifugal, submersible, and specialty pumps
- Performing engine services (oil changes, filters, cooling systems, batteries)
- Diagnosing and repairing pump ends, priming systems, electrical components, starters, alternators, and control panels
- Troubleshooting performance, pressure, and flow issues using pump curves
- Assembling and installing piping, fittings, hoses, valves, and filtration systems
- Performing trailer inspections and repairs (brakes, bearings, wiring, tires)
- Conducting pre- and post-delivery inspections and documenting service work
- Traveling to customer sites for troubleshooting, installation, or repair as needed
- Following all safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
- Assisting with training and mentoring junior mechanics (senior levels)
Experience Levels
- Mechanic C: 1–2 years mechanical experience (entry-level industrial or pump exposure)
- Mechanic B: 2–3 years experience with independent pump diagnostics and repair
- Mechanic A: 3–5 years experience including rebuilds, advanced diagnostics, and system troubleshooting
- Master Mechanic: 5+ years experience with advanced pump systems, filtration, controls, and mentoring
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or GED (trade school or technical training preferred)
- Experience working on industrial equipment, pumps, engines, or similar machinery
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read manuals, diagrams, and technical documentation
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Valid driver’s license
- Safety-focused, dependable, and team-oriented
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally
- Ability to stand, kneel, climb, crouch, and work in shop and outdoor environments
- Comfortable working around loud equipment, moving parts, and varying weather conditions
