Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Shop Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, with experience in Diesel Engine and centrifugal pumpand repair. This role requires a hands-on approach to diagnosing and resolving issues with various types of machinery, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines & centrifugal pumps.
• Diagnose mechanical issues using automotive diagnostics and schematics to ensure efficient repairs.
• Conduct fabrication tasks as needed to modify or enhance equipment functionality.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools for assembly and repair tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of service performed on equipment.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs.
• Assist in the training of junior technicians as required, sharing knowledge of best practices in equipment maintenance and repair.

Skills

• Dealership / Rental experience is preferred for familiarity with automotive systems.
• Proficient in mechanical knowledge related to diesel engines and pumps.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and soldering techniques is beneficial.
• Ability to lift heavy objects safely as part of the job requirements.
• Previous mechanic or service technician experience is highly valued.
