Seeking an Electrical Engineer to support and enhance automated manufacturing operations for a global automotive supplier in Rushville, IN. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer who enjoys troubleshooting, controls work and collaborating closely with manufacturing and maintenance teams in a fast-paced production environment.
What You’ll Do as an Electrical Engineer:
As an Electrical Engineer, you’ll play a key role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving PLC-based automated equipment across the plant. Your work will directly impact equipment reliability, uptime, and overall manufacturing efficiency.
Electrical Engineer Responsibilities Include:

Troubleshooting and debugging PLC-based automated machinery
-
Identifying and resolving software and hardware control issues
-
Supporting manufacturing and maintenance teams with machine control problems and improvements
-
Debugging, repairing, and modifying machine control software
-
Managing and supporting new equipment installations and related control systems
-
Suggesting and implementing process and automation improvements to enhance production performance
-
Interpreting and working from electrical blueprints, schematics, and ladder logic

Supporting plant automation initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
What We’re Looking For in an Electrical Engineer:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (preferred)
-
2 years of experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
-
Strong proficiency with Rockwell / Allen-Bradley PLC platforms, including:
-
RSLogix 5, RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5000, and Studio 5000
-

Experience with Rockwell / Allen-Bradley HMI programming using FactoryTalk View Studio
-
Hands-on experience with Rockwell VFDs
-
Knowledge of RSNetWorx, DeviceNet, and Ethernet/IP networks
-
Solid understanding of Ladder Logic, electrical schematics, and control documentation

Experience with robotics and Mitsubishi PLCs/HMIs strongly preferred
-
AutoCAD experience preferred

Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills
-
Ability to work cross-functionally and support shop floor operations
