Maintains and promotes safe practices when supporting production and quality by ensuring the proper operation of machinery consisting of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment (injection molding, thermoforming, secondary equipment, and secondary equipment). 

Maintenance Technician Job Summary:

Searching for a multi-functional maintenance technician to join our team. The individual will be responsible for the upkeep of industrial equipment and must be well-rounded and be able to perform effectively and efficiently on a variety of equipment, executing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical maintenance Understands that a sense of urgency is required and is the highest priority in a candidate 

Maintenance Technician Requirements:

  • Experience with industrial maintenance is a must (Injection Molding/Thermoforming experience a plus). 

  • Using precision tools and equipment to complete assigned tasks. 

  • Trouble shooting mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical (electronic) equipment. Learns and applies standard tools and techniques to solve problems. 

  • Thorough working knowledge of industrial equipment, its usage, and safety procedures.  

  • Takes responsibility for self-performance and manages time and priority of projects appropriately. 

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing results and meeting expectations while working well with others. 

  • Must have flexible schedule and take calls during off shift hours and weekends. 

 Industrial Maintenance Technician Job Duties:

  • Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive and corrective maintenance requirements. Equipment and tools include motors, gearboxes, pneumatic systems, coupling and motor alignment, roller chain/sprockets alignment, conveyor systems, and production machines.

  • Capable of following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications. Troubleshoots malfunctions and is familiar with and complies with NEC standards on wiring and installations. 

  • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and utilizing information from other individuals. 

  • Using precision tools to assist in determining problems. 

  • Remove defective parts by dismantling equipment, using hoists, cranes, and standard power tools. Strong welding and fabricating skills would be a positive. 

  • Installing equipment from start to finish. 

  • Adjusting functional equipment to optimize its performance. 

  • Control downtime by coordinating routine preventive maintenance. 

  • Maintain assigned maintenance records and equipment. 

  • Maintains a safe and clean environment by complying with procedures, rules, regulations, and internal policies.  

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, mechanical and electrical prints. 

  • Order parts to support maintenance. 

 Familiar tools that will be used: 

  • Multimeter 

  • Boom Lift, Scissor Lift, Forklift Lift

  • Overhead crane 

 Technician must be able to troubleshoot the following systems and processes: 

  • AC, DC Drives, Gear BoxesRobotsHMIChilled Water SystemsVacuum systems (material convey), AC, DC, and servo motorsElectronic components, Pneumatic valvesInjection Mold equipment 

Education and Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma or Associate degree in industrial maintenance or 5 years of experience in Industrial maintenance.
