As an Operations Manager you are leading all warehousing operations for assigned customer accounts while serving as the primary operational point of contact. You are leading effective endtoend execution across shipping, receiving, inventory control, quality assurance, safety, and workforce management.

Success in this position requires meeting servicelevel expectations, achieving KPIs, and supporting profitability goals. You will manage multiple teams and/or operational areas, drive crossfunctional collaboration, resolve escalations, and strengthen client relationships through proactive communication, performance reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Operations Manager Key Responsibilities:

  • Embrace and promote core values.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and advocate for customers, providing proactive, worldclass service and scheduling regular checkins.
  • Ensure all inbound and outbound shipments meet required specifications and timelines.
  • Oversee customer billing as needed.
  • Lead daily team huddles to plan workload, encourage communication, and support employee relations.
  • Manage each customer’s Service Level Agreement (SLA) and track OnTime Shipping (OTS).
  • Monitor errors and other KPIs; escalate nonconformities or major issues to leadership and the customer.
  • Validate all aspects of inventory management.
  • Prepare and present reports as requested.
  • Manage the 5S program within the assigned zone.
  • Ensure all team members follow safety protocols; proactively address safety concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with certification requirements, including tracking and training.
  • Identify and resolve issues using root cause and corrective action (RCCA) analysis; escalate when appropriate.
  • Plan for nextday operational success and track work-in-progress.
  • Write and update work instructions as needed.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes and quality.
  • Support cross-training for key personnel to enhance backup coverage and development.
  • Work alongside teammates to provide coverage when necessary.
  • Travel to other locations or customer sites as required.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and report all injuries per company policy.

Operations Manager Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Participate in interviewing, hiring decisions, and training of new team members.
  • Oversee daily workflow and schedule team members and tasks.
  • Conduct constructive oneonone meetings and sixmonth checkins.
  • Manage discipline and terminations in accordance with company policies.
  • Provide training and coaching to warehouse team members; help onboard new teammates with processes, procedures, and the company culture.

Operations Manager Qualifications & Experience:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain management preferred.
  • Three or more years of relevant warehouse leadership experience with direct reports.
  • Ability to operate and train others on forklifts and similar equipment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong proficiency in English.
  • Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
  • Solid knowledge of OSHA standards and workplace safety practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Reader, WMS/IMS, Box, and related applications.
