Seeking to hire two (2) Controls Engineers to design, develop, and start up industrial control systems used for growing automating manufacturing equipment in a production environment. They are responsible for the startup and troubleshooting of equipment at the customer sites. Controls Engineers will use P&IDs, scope documents, functional descriptions, and electrical prints to both write & edit PLC code and HMI Systems. They will write complete project scopes, maintain schedule and watch budget status, design and perform test procedures, and be responsible for supervising on-site installation and commissioning. 

Controls Engineer Specific Responsibilities:  

• P&IDs, scope documents, functional descriptions, and electrical prints to both write & edit PLC code and HMI Systems.
• Mentor junior controls engineers and controls technicians.
• Review P&IDs and interact with Engineering Department personnel.
• Write complete project scopes, maintain schedules and watch budget status, design and perform test procedures.
• Responsible for supervising on-site installation and commissioning. 

Controls Engineer Qualifications:  

• Bachelor’s degree preferred with 5+ years of relevant experience.  Background in the following technologies:
• I/O checkout & control system commissioning
• Siemens Step 7 in TIA Portal & associated PLC and I/O Hardware or Rockwell Studio 5000 and associated AB PLC and I/O hardware
• Siemens S120 and G120C Drives
• AB Powerflex 755 Drives
• Ignition Perspective or Vision
