Location: Portage, MI
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (Some overtime and additional hours may be required)

Key Responsibilities:

·        Safely operate a Class A truck to transport goods and materials to various locations as per scheduled routes.

·        Adhere to all DOT and PRO Services safety regulations and traffic laws while driving.

·        Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and reliability.

·        Load and unload equipment and materials using a forklift and other equipment, ensuring secure transport.

·        Provide exceptional customer service by delivering goods on time and maintaining clear communication with clients.

·        Utilize GPS and dispatch software to receive routes and update delivery statuses in real time.

·        Maintain effective communication with dispatchers regarding delivery status and any issues encountered during transit.

·        Be flexible in operating different truck/trailer configurations and assist with physical loading/unloading tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

·        Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A) with a clean driving record, and the ability to operate a manual transmission.

·        Minimum of 2+ years of experience driving Class A trucks, demonstrating a proven record of safe driving.

·        Experience with flatbed trucks.

·        Capability to lift and carry heavy loads and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading and knowledge of safe manual lifting techniques.

·        Forklift operation experience (or willingness to obtain certification)

·         Proficiency in using GPS, smartphones/tablets, and basic computer software (e.g., email, dispatch/route apps), and Google Suite.

·        Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
