The PACE Instructional Designer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality learning experiences that support clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and workforce development across the PACE organization. This role partners with clinical leaders, subject matter experts (SMEs), and operations teams to create engaging, accessible, and compliant training solutions for interdisciplinary PACE staff.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Instructional Design & Development
  • Design and develop blended learning solutions (e-learning, instructor-led training, virtual training, job aids, simulations) aligned with adult learning principles.
  • Translate complex clinical, regulatory, and operational content into clear, engaging, and effective learning materials.
  • Apply instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to ensure consistent, high-quality outcomes.
  • Ensure all training materials align with CMS, state, and PACE regulatory requirements.
  • Support onboarding, annual competencies, and ongoing education for interdisciplinary team members (clinical, administrative, and operational).
  • Maintain accurate documentation and version control for compliance and audit readiness.
  • Partner with clinical leaders, quality teams, compliance, HR, and operations to identify learning needs and performance gaps.
  • Facilitate content reviews with SMEs and incorporate feedback efficiently.
  • Serve as a learning consultant, recommending appropriate training strategies and delivery methods.
  • Develop content using authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Rise, Storyline, Captivate).
  • Manage and deploy training within the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Evaluate training effectiveness using assessments, learner feedback, and performance metrics; recommend improvements based on data.
  • Stay current on instructional design best practices, healthcare education trends, and PACE-related changes.
  • Improve accessibility and inclusivity of learning materials (ADA/508 compliance).
  • Support continuous quality improvement initiatives through learning solutions.

Key Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Healthcare Education, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in instructional design, preferably in healthcare or regulated environments.
  • Demonstrated experience designing adult learning and e-learning solutions.
  • Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools and LMS platforms.
  • Strong project management, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience working in PACE, geriatrics, long-term care, or interdisciplinary healthcare settings.
  • Knowledge of CMS and healthcare regulatory training requirements.
  • Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or related field.
  • Experience with change management or performance improvement initiatives.
