Epic Precision Analyst

is seeking an Epic Precision Staffing Analyst for a remote position. This role is responsible for leading and supporting the transition from Optilink to Epic Precision Staffing. This role focuses on building and maintaining staffing tasks, developing and validating Epic Workload scoring, and ensuring staffing models accurately reflect operational demand. The analyst partners closely with clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders to optimize staffing efficiency, data accuracy, and workforce planning within Epic.

Key Responsibilities:

Epic Precision Staffing Implementation & Transition

    • Lead the migration from Optilink to Epic Precision Staffing, including planning, build, testing, and go-live support
    • Analyze existing Optilink configurations, staffing rules, and workload logic to ensure accurate translation into Epic
    • Collaborate with Epic analysts, operations leaders, and clinical stakeholders to validate system design and functionality
    • Identify gaps, risks, and optimization opportunities during the transition process

Task Build & Maintenance

  • Build, configure, and maintain staffing tasks within Epic Precision Staffing
  • Define task standards, volumes, and time values in collaboration with operational and clinical leaders
  • Ensure task definitions align with workflows, productivity expectations, and regulatory requirements
  • Perform ongoing maintenance and updates to task libraries as workflows evolve

Epic Workload Scoring

  • Develop, configure, and validate Epic Workload scoring models
  • Analyze workload drivers to ensure accurate reflection of patient acuity, volume, and operational complexity
  • Perform workload testing, scenario modeling, and variance analysis
  • Partner with stakeholders to review and approve workload assumptions and scoring outcomes

Key Qualifications: 

  • Experience in grand central, specifically bed board management, and analytics; rules and task creation/management is a plus.
  • Workload acuity scoring, Assignment Wizard.
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, information systems, or related field

  • Experience with Epic, including staffing, workforce, or operational modules

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in workload measurement or productivity modeling

  • Experience working with clinical or operational stakeholders in a healthcare environment
