Epic Beaker Analyst

The Epic Beaker Analyst is responsible for the design, build, implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of Epic Beaker (Laboratory Information System) and associated integrations. This role partners with laboratory operations, clinical leadership, IT teams, and vendors to ensure laboratory workflows are efficient, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals. The analyst supports system enhancements, upgrades, testing, and issue resolution while maintaining high system availability and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, build, and maintain Epic Beaker modules, including workflow rules, result routing, order sets, and interfaces.
- Provide day-to-day application support including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and ticket resolution.
- Participate in system upgrades, new feature implementation, and enhancement projects.
- Analyze laboratory and business workflows to recommend system improvements and automation opportunities.
- Support integration between Beaker and third-party lab instruments and systems.
- Perform Mac builds and configuration to support Orion and related laboratory workflows.
- Prepare and configure laboratory instruments for connectivity and go-live readiness.
- Manage and resolve service tickets related to Orion, Beaker, and instrument integrations.
- Execute and document system testing, including unit testing, integrated testing, and validation for Orion-related builds and changes.
Key Qualifications:
- Epic Beaker Certification (Clinical Pathology, Anatomic Pathology, or both preferred).
- Experience supporting Epic Beaker in a healthcare or laboratory environment.
- Experience with laboratory workflows, instrument interfaces, and LIS integrations.
- Experience with Orion task workflows, including Mac builds, instrument readiness, ticket management, and testing.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
