Opportunity exists one hour from Houston on the gulf coast for a BC/BE Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeon to join existing practice group. Affiliation and support will be provided by the hospital. Affiliation with top health system in Eastern Texas. Candidate for this position should possess Heart, Vascular and Lung surgery capabilities and strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patient satisfaction here is a priority. Practicing physicians as well as highly-motivated Fellows are welcome to apply. Malpractice, health & dental and relocation expense offered as well as additional bonuses based on performance.

ABMS Board Certification. Board certified Heart, Vascular and Lung surgery capabilities ideal for Trauma Level III.  

Perform the following Heart, Vascular and Lung surgery capabilities.

  • Coronary artery bypass surgery
  • Heart valve repair and replacement
  • Combined bypass and valve replacement
  • Minimally invasive bypass surgery
  • Minimally invasive aortic and mitral valve replacement
  • Transcatheter aortic valve replacement
  • Adult ASD/VSD repairs
  • Epicardial pacing lead placements
  • Impella device placements
  • Thoracic and abdominal aneurysm repair - open and endovascular
  • Vascular and endovascular trauma surgeries
  • Decortication procedures
  • Lung Resections
  • Carotid endarterectomy
  • Peripheral revascularization

The clinic is a department of hospital and the physicians are independent and contract with the hospital, not employed.  Hospital is the only Trauma Level III hospital servicing 9 surrounding counties.
