Position Summary

The Site Manager is responsible for leading 2 manufacturing sites in Dallas, overseeing all operational, strategic, and functional aspects of the facilities. This role ensures the site meets performance targets across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability while driving continuous improvement and long-term competitiveness.

The position requires both strategic leadership and hands-on operational management, ensuring alignment with global business objectives and stakeholder expectations including customers, employees, suppliers, and leadership teams.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Operational Leadership

  • Lead all site operations including production, safety, quality, delivery, cost, inventory, and environmental performance
  • Ensure manufacturing performance meets or exceeds defined KPIs (OEE, FTT, OTIF, NCRs, production variance)
  • Drive adherence to safety-first culture with a goal of zero lost-time accidents

 

Continuous Improvement & Efficiency

  • Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and promote continuous improvement initiatives
  • Apply structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D analysis)
  • Reduce production costs, waste, and operational inefficiencies
  • Improve manufacturing speed, consistency, and process stability

 

Financial & Strategic Management

  • Manage site-level financial performance including P&L, cost control, and inventory optimization
  • Identify and execute CapEx projects to improve productivity, safety, and technology
  • Support budget planning and cost-reduction initiatives

 

Customer & Business Interface

  • Maintain strong relationships with key customers and support commercial growth
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, R&D, Engineering, and Business Development teams
  • Support new business opportunities and ensure alignment between manufacturing capabilities and market needs

 

Product & Process Development

  • Participate in product innovation and ensure successful on-time product launches
  • Ensure design-for-manufacturing principles are embedded in new product development
  • Support industrialization of new processes and equipment investments

 

Supply Chain & Quality

  • Improve supply chain performance in collaboration with procurement and suppliers
  • Reduce stock levels and minimize obsolescence during product transitions
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality systems and external regulatory requirements

 

Leadership & Organization

  • Lead and develop the site management team through empowerment and performance management
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Coordinate with other site leaders across the organization to share best practices

 

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure full compliance with internal policies, procedures, and legal requirements
  • Act as key point of contact for audits and external compliance activities
  • Maintain facility services, infrastructure, and site readiness standards

 

 

Required Experience

  • 8–15+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 3–5+ years in a senior leadership role managing multiple teams or a full site
  • Experience in industrial or technical manufacturing sectors (preferred: composites, materials, or similar)
  • Proven track record of improving operational performance in safety, quality, cost, and delivery

 

Technical & Functional Expertise

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing systems, Lean principles, and production processes
  • Experience with CapEx projects, production line setup, and industrial engineering improvements
  • Knowledge of supply chain operations, inventory management, and cost drivers (BOM, cycle time, variance)
  • Familiarity with quality systems and structured problem-solving tools (8D, root cause analysis)

 

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • MBA preferred
  • Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent continuous improvement certification is a plus
