HR Generalist

We are seeking a hands-on HR Generalist to support day-to-day Human Resources activities within an operational environment.

The position will provide support across employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, payroll coordination, HR administration, compliance, training, benefits, and employee development.

The ideal candidate is an approachable and organized HR professional who enjoys working directly with employees and managers, is comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and can effectively balance administrative responsibilities with employee-focused support.

This role will serve as an HR resource for employees and managers and will work collaboratively with leadership and other internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and administration of HR policies, procedures, programs, and initiatives.
  • Support recruiting and talent acquisition activities, including interview coordination, candidate communication, onboarding, and employment documentation.
  • Assist with onboarding, orientation, training, and employee development programs.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, personnel files, HR documentation, and payroll-related information.
  • Support payroll processing through HRIS/payroll systems and provide required reports and information.
  • Serve as a resource for employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, benefits, time and attendance, payroll, and general employment questions.
  • Support employee relations activities, including documentation, follow-up, and communication with employees and managers.
  • Assist with performance management processes and related documentation.
  • Support benefits administration, time and attendance, and other day-to-day HR processes.
  • Assist with Workers' Compensation and FMLA administration, documentation, and tracking.
  • Support HR compliance activities related to EEO, ADA, FMLA, OSHA, Workers' Compensation, and applicable employment requirements.
  • Maintain appropriate confidentiality and privacy when handling sensitive employee information.
  • Assist with training initiatives, including coordinating training schedules, maintaining records, and supporting managers with employee development.
  • Help ensure consistent communication and administration of HR policies and employee guidelines.
  • Support HR-related communication associated with workplace safety, training, and facility requirements.
  • Maintain HR metrics and reporting related to recruiting, employee development, engagement, turnover, and other HR activities.
  • Participate in HR projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with leadership to identify opportunities to improve HR processes and employee experience.
  • Perform other HR-related duties as assigned.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Professional fluency in English and Spanish required.
  • Previous HR Generalist or HR-related experience, preferably within a manufacturing, industrial, or other operational environment.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. employment practices and HR compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with EEO, ADA, FMLA, OSHA, Workers' Compensation, and other applicable employment regulations.
  • Experience supporting recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, training, performance management, benefits, time and attendance, and payroll-related processes.
  • Experience working with HRIS and payroll systems; experience with ADP or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly when managing employee records and confidential information.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with employees and managers at all levels.
  • Sound judgment and the ability to recognize when matters require escalation or additional support.
  • Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a collaborative team.
  • Adaptable, solutions-oriented, and comfortable working in a hands-on HR environment.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to work in an office and operational environment, including occasional movement through production, warehouse, or other facility areas.

Work Environment

This is an in-office position within an operational environment. The role will involve regular interaction with employees and managers and may require occasional movement throughout production, warehouse, and other facility areas.
