Position Summary

The Organization is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support multiple affiliated entities across its philanthropic, investment, and operating organizations. This role supports financial reporting and accounting activities, develops financial models and analysis to support budgeting, forecasting, investment reporting, and strategic decision-making, builds dashboards and reporting tools in Power BI, and maintains investment documentation and reporting, including valuation updates and cap-table support.

This position is structured as a hybrid role, requiring a mix of remote work and in-office presence at designated times.

Key Responsibilities

· Process accounting activities including invoice payments, journal entries, and account reconciliations.

· Maintain investment files, including deal memos, wire instructions, SAFEs/notes, LP notices, and related documentation.

· Update portfolio trackers and monitor capital calls, distributions, investment activity, and key reporting deadlines.

· Support valuation updates, cap-table reconciliations, and quarterly portfolio reporting.

· Prepare monthly financial reports; standardize templates and automate recurring reports where possible.

· Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, portfolio analysis, investment performance tracking, scenario analysis, and long-term planning.

· Build, refresh, and enhance Power BI dashboards and data visualizations for internal financial and portfolio metrics, investment performance and goals, portfolio calendar tracking, and impact reporting.

· Analyze financial results, identify trends and variances, and provide insights to support leadership decision-making.

· Support annual budget and forecast processes, including data gathering, model updates, reporting, and presentation materials.

· Partner with internal stakeholders to improve reporting processes, data accuracy, dashboard usability, and financial visibility across affiliated entities.

· Complete other financial preparation, analysis, and reporting as requested.

Qualifications, Skills & Characteristics

· 2+ years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, financial analysis, or investment reporting, ideally in similarly sized organizations.

· Strong financial modeling skills, including experience building and maintaining models for budgets, forecasts, variance analysis, scenario planning, investment tracking, or portfolio reporting.

· Hands-on experience creating dashboards, reports, and data visualizations in Power BI.

· Strong Excel skills, including the ability to work with complex data sets, formulas, reporting templates, and financial models.

· Strong familiarity with investment reporting and analysis.

· Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

· Experience supporting budgets, forecasts, and monthly/quarterly financial reporting.

· Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills; able to manage multiple priorities and timelines.

· Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build trust-based relationships across stakeholders.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, and common finance tools such as QuickBooks, Expensify, and Bill.com.

· Bachelor’s degree required; CPA and/or MBA, or equivalent relevant experience, preferred.

· Familiarity with life sciences organizations is a plus.

Compensation

The expected salary range for this position is $110,000 – $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
