Position Summary
The Risk Scheduler is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and mitigating risks related to project schedules, dependencies, resources, and delivery timelines. This role works closely with project managers, leadership, and project teams to optimize schedules, reduce risk exposure, and support on-time delivery across complex infrastructure programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify potential scheduling risks, bottlenecks, and constraints across the project
- Analyze timelines, dependencies, and resource requirements to determine areas of schedule risk
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce scheduling risk and improve project delivery
- Create, maintain, and update project schedules to support timely execution
- Partner with project managers to understand scope, sequencing, and objectives
- Coordinate with team leads to ensure resource availability aligns with project timelines
- Monitor project progress and identify deviations from the schedule plan
- Provide risk-based reporting to leadership, including updates on mitigation strategies and critical schedule issues
- Develop and maintain risk reports, track changes, and escalate significant issues as needed
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or a related discipline
- 10 years of experience in scheduling, risk management, project coordination, or a related field
- Proven experience as a scheduler, project coordinator, and/or risk manager
- Strong understanding of risk management principles and scheduling tools such as Primavera or Microsoft Project
- Strong experience with Monte Carlo schedule risk analysis and risk register management
- Ability to apply scheduling and risk tools from an enterprise or program-level perspective, including implementation and cross-functional coordination
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, PMI-RMP, or equivalent certification
- Professional Engineering license
- Proven experience in construction and risk management environments
