Position Summary:

Opportunity for a highly experienced and strategic Senior Director of Facilities to oversee the management and operation of a multi-family residential portfolio across the Western US. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities management, leadership acumen, and a proven track record of success in a senior management role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the facilities team, providing strategic direction and oversight of all facility operations and maintenance.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive facilities management strategies to optimize efficiency, safety, and sustainability.
  • Oversee budgeting and financial planning for facilities, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure facility needs align with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards, maintaining a high level of safety and operational excellence.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure quality service and favorable terms.
  • Implement and oversee preventive maintenance programs to extend the life of building systems and equipment.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovation within the facilities management function.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in facilities management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and relevant regulations and standards.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans that align with organizational objectives.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate a high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Experience with budget management and financial acumen.
