Daily Responsibilities:

  • Manage the community sales email address, responding to requests from plumbing contractors and MEP firms.

  • Quote pump systems based on bid documents and pump schedules provided by plumbing contractors.

  • Select and design pump systems for MEP firms based on project parameters (fixture counts, building heights, hydrant flow test results).

  • Process purchase orders for pump systems and components after engineer approval.

  • Follow up with factories on order status, and resolve shipping issues.

  • Facilitate startup requests by sending forms to contractors and service managers, and addressing any issues during startup.

  • Handle inquiries for replacement equipment from jobs that are 10-15 years old.

  • Collaborate with the service department on post-installation issues and warranty claims.

Travel Expectations & Association Meetings - This is primarily an inside sales role but does have some outside sales activities (all compensated for - including overtime pay)

  • Attend association meetings (ASPE, ASSE, ASHRAE) 2-3 times a month, often in the evenings, with all expenses paid and overtime compensation.

  • Manufacturer Visits: Travel out of state for training by factory directly on products about five times a year. Manufacturers are located in Wisconsin, Florida, upstate New York, Indiana, and California.
