Workers’ Compensation Paralegal
We are recruiting an experienced Workers’ Compensation Paralegal to support attorneys in a respected Cleveland law office. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented legal professional who understands Ohio workers’ compensation procedures and can independently manage claims, filings, and deadlines.
Responsibilities:

Prepare workers’ compensation claims for administrative hearings

Draft pleadings, claim summaries, correspondence, and other legal documents

Request, organize, and review medical records

Coordinate independent medical examinations and prepare summary correspondence

Monitor case activity, filing requirements, and critical deadlines

Submit documents electronically to courts and administrative agencies

Proofread filings for accuracy and compliance with applicable rules

Assist with depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials
-
Communicate professionally with attorneys, clients, medical providers, and outside parties

Identify potential issues and escalate them appropriately
Qualifications:

At least three years of paralegal experience in a law firm or other legal setting

Working knowledge of Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation and Industrial Commission of Ohio procedures

Paralegal certificate, related degree, or bachelor’s degree preferred

Strong Microsoft Office skills

Excellent writing, proofreading, analytical, and organizational abilities

Ability to manage competing priorities and complete time-sensitive assignments

Sound judgment and a proactive approach to attorney support
Compensation and Benefits:

$72,000 - 105,000 per year, based on experience, education, and qualifications
