CNC Machinist — Swiss-Style & Multi-Task Turning

Direct Hire  |  Day Shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (flexible start/end)

About the Role

A well-established precision manufacturer supplying the aerospace, medical device, and firearms sectors is hiring a CNC Machinist to run Swiss-style and multi-task turning centers. This direct-hire opening sits with a financially stable, growing operation looking to add a skilled hand to its machining floor.

What You'll Do

Build and refine CNC programs using CAM software

Handle machine setup start to finish: selecting and installing tooling and workholding, loading stock, and dialing in programs and offsets

Diagnose floor issues, worn tooling, program glitches, setup problems, minor mechanical hiccups, and loop in maintenance for anything bigger

Stay on top of routine upkeep and preventive maintenance to keep equipment running

Work safely around cutting tools, coolant, and heavy stock

Look for ways to tighten up the process and cut down on waste

Keep supervisors informed on job status, issues, and output

What You Bring

A couple of years or more setting up and programming Swiss-style turning equipment

Comfortable with a computer, including ERP systems and standard office software

Hands-on experience with CAM packages such as Esprit, Fusion, Mastercam, or CAMWorks

        Some background in 3D modeling

Solid grasp of G-code and tooling on Citizen-style Swiss lathes and/or Miyano turn-mill equipment

Able to read and work from part prints, CAD files, GD&T callouts, and process documentation

Experience working under formal quality and safety programs

A two-year degree in machining or a related field is a plus, not a requirement

Good to Know

Must qualify as a U.S. Person under ITAR

Must meet eligibility requirements to work for a federally licensed firearms manufacturer (07/FFL)

Role keeps you on your feet for most of the shift, expect to be up and moving roughly 80% of the time

Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs

Safety glasses and hearing protection required on the floor

Essential functions must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation; qualified candidates with disabilities are encouraged to apply
