Regional Manufacturing Director
Multi-Site Manufacturing Leadership Required
We are seeking a Regional Manufacturing Director to lead operations across a defined network of manufacturing facilities. This role provides strategic and operational leadership to Plant Managers and site leadership teams, ensuring consistent performance in safety, quality, cost, service, and people development across the region.
The Regional Manufacturing Director is accountable for driving operational excellence, improving financial performance, and building strong leadership capability within each facility.
Key Responsibilities
Regional Operational Leadership

Lead multiple manufacturing plants within an assigned region.

Ensure consistent execution of safety, quality, cost, delivery, and engagement standards.

Provide oversight of Production, Maintenance, Scheduling, Sanitation, and Warehouse Operations.

Establish alignment and operational consistency across all regional facilities.

Escalate significant operational risks or performance gaps to executive leadership.
Strategy & Continuous Improvement

Develop and execute regional manufacturing strategies to improve competitiveness and profitability.

Lead Lean manufacturing and TPM initiatives to maximize equipment reliability and operational efficiency.

Drive measurable improvements in labor productivity, on-time delivery, cost control, and margin expansion.

Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and employee empowerment.
Financial & Performance Management

Own regional operating performance including budgeting, cost analysis, and margin improvement initiatives.

Monitor and improve key performance indicators across all sites.

Identify opportunities to reduce waste, optimize labor, and improve asset utilization.

Optimize materials planning and inventory management to improve cash flow while minimizing cost.
Safety, Quality & Compliance

Champion a strong safety culture that drives injury reduction and regulatory compliance.

Ensure all facilities maintain compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.

Maintain adherence to GMPs, HACCP, SQF, and third-party audit requirements.

Partner with Quality to ensure product integrity and audit readiness.
People & Leadership Development

Lead, coach, and develop Plant Managers and site leadership teams.

Build succession plans and ensure leadership continuity across the region.

Partner with HR to enhance engagement, accountability, and performance management.

Establish clear performance expectations and ensure best-in-class execution.
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with Finance, Supply Chain, R&D, Purchasing, EH&S, and Quality to support business objectives.

Support new product introductions by evaluating manufacturing feasibility and cost structure.

Ensure strong coordination between production, materials planning, and distribution to achieve service goals.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Food Science, or related field.

Minimum 10 years of manufacturing experience.
-
Proven multi-site leadership experience required.

Food manufacturing experience required

Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing, TPM, and operational excellence principles.

Working knowledge of SQF Level III, HACCP, GMPs, and audit compliance.

Demonstrated financial acumen with operational P&L accountability.

Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
