1. PRIMARY PURPOSE -

The Director of Private Label & Foodservice Sales is responsible for driving the strategic growth, profitability, and

long-term success of the Company’s private label & foodservice business. This role leads the development and

execution of private label & foodservice sales strategies, manages key national and regional customer

relationships, and partners cross-functionally to deliver profitable growth aligned with the Company’s

manufacturing capabilities and strategic priorities. This position is a senior-level commercial leadership role

requiring strong customer acumen, P&L ownership mindset, and the ability to translate market opportunities

into scalable, sustainable private label & foodservice programs.

About The Position

This role is responsible for driving business growth through management of strategic growth and profitability of

company private label & foodservice products. This role is key to lead strategic vision and will be crucial in

identifying new opportunities and while enhancing our market presence. This role offers the opportunity to

shape and lead the future of our private label & foodservice business, influence strategic growth decisions, and

partner closely with senior leadership in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

2. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and execute the Company’s private label & foodservice growth strategy, aligned with overall

commercial and operational objectives.

Identify, evaluate, and pursue new private label & foodservice opportunities across retail, foodservice,

and strategic customer segments.

Build multi-year account development plans that drive revenue growth, margin improvement, and

capacity optimization.

Serve as the executive relationship owner for assigned key private label & foodservice accounts.

Lead complex commercial negotiations, including pricing, contracts, volume commitments, and long-

term supply agreements.

Partner with customers to understand category trends, consumer insights, and innovation opportunities

to strengthen long-term partnerships.

Work closely with Operations, Supply Chain, R&D, Quality, Finance, and Marketing to ensure customer

programs are operationally feasible and financially sound.

Collaborate on new product development, packaging, cost-reduction initiatives, and continuous

improvement efforts tied to customer needs.

Align forecasts and demand planning with manufacturing capacity and inventory strategies.

Own revenue, margin, and profitability performance for assigned private label & foodservice accounts.

Participate in the development of marketing and pricing strategies.

Monitor KPIs, customer performance metrics, and market trends to drive informed decision-making. Lead, mentor, and develop private label & foodservice sales and account management talent (directly or

indirectly).

Establish best practices for private label & foodservice account development, customer engagement,

and commercial execution.

Act as a senior commercial leader and role model for collaboration, accountability, and ethical business

practices.

Lead new product innovation aligned to customer strategic growth goals.

Partner with Research & Development to identify innovative products.

Maintain files, records, and documents created during the sales and marketing processes.

Prepare routine and ad hoc reports for management.

The Director of Private Label & Foodservice Sales - Private Label & Foodservice role reports directly to

the President however has a dotted line to the CFO-COO. Partnering to develop and implement high

performing effective and efficient sales strategies within the organization to ensure alignment of

forecast, infrastructure and planning. This includes the requirement of meeting the expectations and

following the direction of the CFO-COO.

3. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Fosters a spirit of cooperation, collaboration, and fluid communication within and between departments

• All other duties and projects as assigned

• Travel required to visit customers, prospects, trade shows, events, etc. (30 – 50% travel)

4. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related.

10+ years of progressive sales and account leadership experience and knowledge of dynamics, with

significant private label or strategic account experience in a manufacturing, food, foodservice

distribution or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) environment.

Proven success managing large, complex customer relationships and driving profitable growth.

Strong negotiation, financial acumen, and contract management skills.

Experience working cross-functionally with manufacturing and operations teams.

Excellent proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite Products.

Food manufacturing plant operations experience preferred.

Must have a solid understanding of customer relationship management.

Strong financial acumen.

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

High level of written and verbal communication skills.

Organizational planning, teamwork, analytical reasoning, and adaptability.

Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and

deadlines

Excellent interpersonal & communication (written & verbal) skills for cross-functional and international

collaboration

Strong analytical, problem solving, decision-making and leadership skills are essential

Experience dealing with customer contracts, agreements including custom packaging and shipment

requirements.
