Nurse Manager - OR

Salary Range: $58.61 - $68.95 per hour

Sign-On Bonus: $20,000 with a 2-year commitment

Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, with starting times as early as 6:30 AM. The role requires flexibility to support the team as needed, with 24/7 accountability and ownership.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Nurse Manager for our Operating Room (OR). This leadership role is pivotal in ensuring the highest standards of patient care and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in the OR setting and will demonstrate strong leadership abilities.

• Must hold or be eligible for an Illinois RN license. Candidates with RN licenses from other states may apply if they have worked as a nurse in the operating room.
• Requires a minimum of 2 years of leadership experience, ideally in an OR setting, with roles such as managerial positions, team lead, or Charge RN.
• Certification in CNOR and BLS is required.
• Proven experience in circulating within an OR is mandatory.

The OR consists of 6 main suites, 1 cysto, and 1 minor procedure room, handling 7-25 cases per day, depending on service and case mix. Common procedures include Gynecology, General Surgery, Urology, Orthopedics, Spine, Ophthalmology, and Vascular surgeries. We are equipped with advanced technology including a hybrid OR, Xi robot, and SP robot.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and direction to the surgical nursing team and scrub techs.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices.
• Maintain accountability for OR operations, including case scheduling and resource allocation.
• Facilitate professional growth and development among the team.
• Be prepared to step into a charge RN role in emergent situations.
