Our client, a highly respected Southeastern law firm with a nationally recognized real estate practice, is seeking an Associate Attorney or Counsel to join its Real Estate & Commercial Development Practice Group in Raleigh. This is an outstanding opportunity for a talented real estate attorney to work on sophisticated commercial transactions across the United States while collaborating with an experienced team of attorneys representing developers, investors, lenders, borrowers, landlords, tenants, and business owners.

The successful candidate will play a key role in complex acquisition, development, financing, leasing, and disposition matters involving a broad range of asset classes and high-value commercial projects.

• Experience representing clients in commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, development projects, financing transactions, and leasing matters
• Significant experience drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements
• Experience preparing and negotiating easement agreements and restrictive covenant declarations
• Experience negotiating and reviewing loan documents on behalf of borrowers
• Familiarity with title, survey, due diligence, and closing processes
• Experience managing multiple transactions simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities
• Prior experience in a sophisticated law firm real estate practice preferred

• Represent developers, investors, property owners, landlords, tenants, lenders, and borrowers in a wide range of commercial real estate transactions
• Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, easements, declarations, leases, financing documents, and related transaction documents
• Manage acquisitions, dispositions, development projects, and real estate financing transactions from inception through closing
• Conduct and oversee real estate due diligence, including title and survey review
• Structure and negotiate complex deal terms while identifying and mitigating transactional risk
• Coordinate with clients, lenders, title companies, consultants, and opposing counsel throughout transactions
• Advise clients on land use, zoning, development, and regulatory considerations impacting projects
• Collaborate with attorneys across construction, environmental, tax, corporate, finance, and economic development practices to support client objectives
