Location: Salt Lake City, UT. This is a primarily on-site role with flexibility built in due to court appearances, depositions, and case-related travel. Attorneys have autonomy over their schedules while maintaining a collaborative office presence.

Note: To be considered, you must be actively licensed in Utah and have 4+ years of litigation experience. Experience in medical malpractice defense or healthcare law is required.

Job Description

  • Represent clients in litigation matters from pre-trial through trial
  • Draft pleadings, motions, written discovery, briefs, and other legal documents
  • Attend hearings, depositions, trials, and client meetings
  • Conduct legal research, case analysis, and strategic evaluation
  • Collaborate with associates, paralegals, and trial attorneys on case strategy
  • Manage substantive litigation responsibilities with a high level of independence
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through excellent service and communication
  • Support business development efforts and contribute to the continued growth of the practice

Qualifications

  • JD from an accredited law school
  • Active Utah Bar membership
  • 4+ years of litigation experience
  • Experience in medical malpractice defense or healthcare law
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal court rules and procedures
  • Strong writing, research, negotiation, and analytical skills
  • Excellent oral advocacy and communication skills
  • Professional, personable, and team-oriented
