🔹 Position Summary

The Anesthesiologist is responsible for evaluating patients and administering anesthesia before, during, and after surgical and procedural interventions. This role provides comprehensive perioperative care, develops individualized anesthesia plans, manages patient safety throughout procedures, and collaborates closely with surgeons, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

🔹 Qualifications

• M.D. or D.O. from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an accredited Anesthesiology Residency Program
• Minimum 3 years of clinical anesthesiology experience
• Board Certified in Anesthesiology (required)
• Fellowship training or Board Certification in Pediatric Anesthesiology preferred, but not required

🔹 Required Licensure & Certifications

• Nevada Medical License (or eligibility to obtain)
• Nevada Pharmacy Board License to Prescribe Medications
• DEA Controlled Substance Registration
• BLS Certification (required)
• ACLS and PALS certifications as required by department needs

🔹 Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive pre-anesthesia evaluations and risk assessments
• Develop individualized anesthesia care plans based on patient history and surgical requirements
• Administer and monitor anesthesia during surgical and procedural cases
• Manage post-operative pain control and recovery care
• Ensure patient safety throughout the perioperative continuum
• Collaborate with surgeons, nursing staff, and other specialists to optimize patient outcomes
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Maintain compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and hospital standards

Candidates should be comfortable managing a broad range of surgical cases and working effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.

🔹 Preferred Experience

• Experience providing anesthesia care across a variety of surgical specialties
• Pediatric anesthesia experience or fellowship training is a plus
• Commitment to quality improvement, patient safety, and evidence-based medicine
