Duties Include:
Customer & Application Engineering
- Collaborate with customers and sales engineers to understand application requirements and develop optimal technical solutions.
- Review customer specifications, drawings, and industry standards.
- Recommend connector designs that meet customer performance and application requirements.
- Serve as the technical liaison throughout the design and development process.
Product Design & Development
- Design and develop new connector and interconnect solutions.
- Participate in design reviews and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Support engineering projects through prototype development, testing, and product qualification.
- Ensure designs meet customer, industry, and manufacturing requirements.
Technical Leadership
- Present technical concepts and design solutions to customers.
- Provide engineering support during customer meetings and industry trade shows.
- Assist in developing technical documentation and product literature.
- Represent the voice of the customer throughout product development.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Product Management, Business Development, Manufacturing, and Process Engineering teams.
- Help identify emerging market opportunities and future product technologies.
- Support continuous product innovation and engineering improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or another related technical discipline.
- 2+ years of engineering experience preferred within connectors, interconnect products, power systems, or harsh environment applications.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel (air and car) up to 50%.
