About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to lead preconstruction and estimating efforts for complex general contracting projects. This is a fully onsite position for a seasoned professional who can both prepare accurate, competitive estimates and provide leadership to other estimators on the team.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in general contracting estimating, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines without letting anything fall through the cracks. This role is well suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment and wants to play a key role in project success from the earliest stages.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects

Review plans, specifications, and bid documents to develop complete project pricing

Lead and oversee estimating efforts for multiple projects at one time

Mentor, guide, and support junior estimators and other team members

Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor bids

Analyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs

Identify scope gaps, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving strategies

Collaborate with operations, project management, and leadership teams during preconstruction

Participate in bid reviews, proposal development, and client presentations as needed

Ensure all estimates are completed on time and align with project requirements

Maintain strong knowledge of market pricing, construction methods, and industry trends
Qualifications / Requirements

Minimum of 10 years of estimating experience within general contracting

At least 4 years of experience as a Senior Estimator or in a lead estimating role overseeing others

Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, materials, and project sequencing

Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contract documents

Experience preparing conceptual, schematic, design development, and hard bid estimates

Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop others

Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills

High attention to detail and ability to work effectively under deadlines

Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office

Must be able to work full-time onsite

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: $120,000 - $140,000
