Job Description 

Engineer Product Integrity provides strategic quality leadership, drives advanced quality capability, and ensures products consistently meet engineering specifications, welding codes, and customer requirements. This role leads APQP activities, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement while supervising and developing the quality team.

Core Responsibilities

· Lead and participate in advanced product quality planning (APQP) activities.

· Develop and maintain quality dashboards and quality assurance systems.

· Create and maintain control plans, PFMEAs, and quality plans for legacy and new products.

· Manage product and process qualifications, including CPK studies and Gage R&R.

· Monitor rejects and corrective-action performance and drive improvements.

· Lead advanced quality initiatives using DMAIC, 8D, mistake-proofing, and process-control methodologies.

· Drive robust root-cause analysis.

· Oversee QMS certification compliance and manage assigned audit schedules.

· Standardize tools and processes across the organization.

· Facilitate KATA, coaching, and value-stream mapping activities.

· Support global quality initiatives and design-for-quality projects.

· Handle escalations from quality engineers and other functions.

· Supervise direct reports, prioritize workload, train the quality team on fundamental tools, conduct performance reviews, and mentor engineers to support skill development.

Required Qualifications

· Four-year degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering plus four or more years of related experience, or an equivalent combination.

· Two or more years as a Certified Quality Engineer.

· Three or more years of practical APQP experience preferred.

· Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, weldments, assemblies, and fabrication.

· Ability to interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T.

· Proficiency in failure analysis and root-cause investigation tools, including 5 Whys, Fishbone, and Fault Tree analysis.

· Strong experience with corrective actions, 8Ds, MRBs, and rapid-response activities.

· Knowledge of developing and using DFMEAs, PFMEAs, and Control Plans.

· Professional customer and supplier communication skills.

· Strong cross-functional leadership and communication abilities.

· Advanced Microsoft Office 365 skills with fluency in Excel.

· Experience with statistical and data-analysis tools such as Minitab, JMP, advanced Excel, and Power BI preferred.

· Physical requirements include regular sitting and computer use, occasional walking, reaching, and stooping, and lifting up to 25 pounds.

· Work is primarily office-based with time in production areas requiring PPE. Travel may be up to 20%, including international or weekend travel.
