Construction Project Supervisor 

Full-Time

An established construction organization is seeking a Construction Project Supervisor to support Project Managers on one or multiple projects. This role provides day‑to‑day direction and coordination of construction activities with the goal of maximizing efficiency, cost control, quality, and profitability. The position may include hands‑on support in jobsite preparation, demolition, and installation activities when required. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as business needs evolve.

Successful candidates must pass a background check, hold a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record, and comply with a drug‑free workplace program, including random testing.

Construction Project Supervisor Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing, reviewing, and managing project schedules (MS Project or similar scheduling software required or quickly learned).
• Plan, organize, and sequence work activities, including development of preliminary schedules and work plans with limited external input.
• Review drawings and specifications to determine construction methods, sequencing, staffing needs, and timelines.
• Coordinate work activities among supervisory staff, field crews, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
• Procure tools, equipment, and materials in alignment with project schedules.
• Direct and collaborate with supervisors and subcontractors to interpret specifications, contract requirements, and work procedures.
• Coordinate multiple phases of construction to avoid delays and resolve conflicts.
• Communicate regularly with Project Managers, Construction Managers, engineers, inspectors, and suppliers to resolve construction issues and improve methods.
• Inspect work in progress to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, schedules, and quality standards.
• Prepare and review reports related to progress, materials, and costs; adjust schedules and plans as needed.
• Share accountability for final project delivery that meets or exceeds plans, specifications, codes, and quality expectations.
• Review and approve invoices related to construction operations and assist with payment applications.
• Maintain complete project documentation including change management, contract compliance, additional work authorization, and issue resolution.
• Administer and enforce jobsite safety programs and loss‑control procedures in accordance with company policies and OSHA regulations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Supervise construction crew leaders and, when required, construction labor personnel.
• Participate in interviewing, hiring, training, performance evaluation, and discipline of employees.
• Plan, assign, and direct work in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
• Address employee concerns and resolve jobsite issues proactively.

Construction Project Supervisor Qualifications:

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university or 4 years of related construction experience/training or an equivalent combination.
• Preferred fields of study: Construction Management, Engineering, Business Management, or related discipline.
