Sr. Engineer – Electrical & Avionics Systems

Position Summary
Support the Electrical & Avionics Lead Engineer and Integrated Product Team (IPT) in the design, integration, and certification of electrical and avionics systems for new and existing aircraft. Responsibilities include developing technical documentation, creating wiring and installation drawings, supporting system testing, and assisting with FAA certification efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and revise system specifications, schematics, wiring diagrams, harness designs, and installation drawings

• Review manufacturer installation manuals and research component specifications for proper aircraft integration

• Support troubleshooting, investigation, and issue resolution with internal and external stakeholders

• Develop and revise System Description and Requirements Documents

• Assist with Part 23 certification documentation (FHA, PSSA, SSA, substantiation reports, test plans, etc.)

• Participate in design and program reviews

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

• Proficiency in CAD design, schematic and harness design, and installation drawings

• Experience with Microsoft Office and data management

• Ability to support on-aircraft troubleshooting as needed

Preferred

• Knowledge of FAR Part 23 regulations

• Experience with Siemens NX, Teamcenter, and Capital Harness

• Familiarity with Garmin G3000 avionics systems

• Programming knowledge (C, C++, Python, or Java)

• Pilot certification (VFR or IFR) is a plus
