A local L’Anse employer is looking to add a skilled Maintenance Technician to their team! This is a full‑time, hands‑on role for someone who enjoys keeping equipment running safely and smoothly.
What You’ll Do

Start up equipment before each shift

Keep machinery and tools operating safely

Perform preventative and routine maintenance

Troubleshoot and make mechanical adjustments

Maintain loaders and ensure safe operation

Keep detailed records of repairs and maintenance
-
Order parts and supplies as needed
-
Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout
-
Help keep the maintenance area clean and organized
-
Work overtime or occasional weekends when needed
What We’re Looking For

2+ years of maintenance experience

High school diploma or equivalent
-
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
-
Experience with welding, electrical, hydraulic, and control systems
-
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Familiarity with safe equipment practices

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work at heights, and stand for long periods
-
Comfortable working in varying temperatures, dusty/noisy environments, and wearing required PPE
-
Team‑oriented with solid communication and leadership skills
