FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN – MECHANIC
$24-40/hour BOE

Summary/Objective
Under limited supervision, performs repair and maintenance of logging equipment (harvesters and forwarders) at customer job sites.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Must have or be able to obtain a CDL license.
Supervisory Responsibility
No direct supervisory responsibilities; may mentor other technicians.
Work Environment
Frequent exposure to outdoor weather, moving mechanical parts, vibration, and loud noise.
Physical Demands
Highly active position requiring standing, bending, climbing, crawling, and lifting over 50 pounds regularly.
Position Type/Expected Hours
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Travel
Regular travel to customer sites required.
Required Education and Experience
-
Two-year heavy equipment technician degree or
-
Three years of heavy equipment repair experience

Equivalent combinations considered
Preferred Qualifications
-
Hydraulics and electrical experience
-
Ability to read schematics
-
Experience with acetylene and electric arc welding
Language Skills

Read and write simple correspondence

Present information effectively

Fluent in English
