POSITION SUMMARY:

We are currently recruiting for a Center Manager (Clinician – PT). The Center Manager is responsible for managing the operations of therapy centers and treating a full patient caseload. This includes ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures, overseeing center financial performance, and managing relationships with referral sources. This full-time position is located in Sacramento, CA.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create an environment consistent with the company’s mission and vision, fostering positive morale to maximize team member job satisfaction and optimize retention.
  • Manage employee relations issues and ensure compliance with Human Resource policies and procedures; collaborate with HR as needed.
  • Assist in developing and implementing fiscal budgets and center-specific strategic plans, including marketing and sales plans for referrals.
  • Ensure strong relationships with physicians and payers, coordinate the implementation of clinical specialty programs.
  • Oversee center profitability, analyze financial statements and performance metrics to develop strategic plans and address underperforming areas.
  • Manage Aide staff, ensuring high-quality customer service and efficient patient scheduling.
  • Ensure the clinical team delivers the highest quality care, provide patient care skills development opportunities for staff, and recommend staff for recognition.
  • Conduct staff orientation and training to implement Client's clinical programs and operational objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with Client's Rehab Agency, State, Federal, and local regulations, policies, procedures, and patient care standards.
  • Participate in annual Patient Care Committee meetings and conduct monthly staff meetings to discuss company news, clinic performance, and operational issues.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of all necessary documentation and adherence to all regulatory and safety standards.
 

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Effective organizational, time management, and planning skills.
  • Strong communication skills for accurate, concise, and organized oral and written reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound judgments regarding patient status, safety, and well-being.
  • Proficiency in utilizing Windows-based operating systems (e.g., Word, Excel).
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member and provide leadership to supervise and guide staff.
 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Graduation from a physical therapy education program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) or a substantially equivalent education in the case of an internationally educated physical therapist.
  • State licensure/registration where applicable.
 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and reaching during the workday.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds using safe body mechanics.
  • Visual acuity to maintain accurate records, recognize people, and read directions.
  • Ability to engage in sustained activities for extended periods in accordance with state labor laws.
  • Ability to push wheeled equipment through the facility and in the community.
