POSITION SUMMARY: 

 

We are currently searching for a Tax Associate to join our dynamic team in Tampa, FL. The Tax Associate is responsible for providing comprehensive tax preparation, planning, and advisory services to a wide range of business types and industries. This full-time position offers a hybrid work schedule, competitive salary of $75,000 -$95,000a year, and a robust benefits package, including 100% employer-paid health insurance and a generous PTO policy.  

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Provide tax preparation, planning, and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple industries.

·       Oversee and support multiple tax engagements and teams simultaneously, ensuring all compliance deadlines are met and milestones are achieved.

·       Conduct tax-related research and complete special projects as assigned.

·       Assist in the supervision, development, and coaching of professional tax staff.

·       Participate in the management and development of client relationships, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.

Required Skills/Abilities: 

·       Strong knowledge of tax preparation and planning principles.

·       Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.

·       Ability to manage multiple engagements and teams concurrently.

·       Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

·       A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

 

 

Education and Experience: 

·       Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting with significant progress toward completing the 5th-year requirement for taking the CPA exam.

·       CPA License is a plus.

·       2+ years of experience in a public accounting firm’s tax department.

·       Multi-industry experience is a plus, including sectors such as construction, manufacturing, small business, healthcare, technology, non-profit, government, and benefit plans.

·       Experience with CCH ProSystem FX Tax and Engagement is a plus.
