POSITION SUMMARY:We are currently recruiting for a Compensation Manager in a healthcare setting. The Compensation Manager is responsible for the planning, implementation, communication, and ongoing management of all compensation programs. This role ensures effective daily operations, compliance with regulatory requirements, and high levels of service to employees. The Compensation Manager plays a key role in positioning the organization as an employer of choice within the region.

  • Ensure compliance with Federal and State laws related to compensation.
  • Oversee the execution of day-to-day administration of all employee compensation programs.
  • Develop strategies to drive employee awareness and understanding of compensation programs.
  • Lead benchmarking cycles, using industry best practices to assess market data and ensure competitive compensation packages.
  • Conduct research, identify trends, and recommend new plans or programs to attract, engage, and retain employees.
  • Manage and maintain a comprehensive wage administration program.
  • Ensure vendors meet service expectations.
  • Participate in the budget process, monitor compliance, and provide justifications for variances.
  • Provide leadership and oversight to the compensation team.
  • Participate in strategic planning, departmental projects, and meetings as assigned.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor compensation team staff members.
  • Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.
 

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Expertise in leading compensation design from concept to execution.
  • Strong knowledge of laws and regulations related to compensation.
  • Proficiency in performance improvement, budgetary, and financial practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and develop a team.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with senior leadership, departmental directors, and staff.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of direct experience in compensation, preferably in the healthcare industry.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience required.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification preferred.
 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Sedentary work requiring exertion up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
