Job Title: Forklift Operator – Fabrication / Manufacturing

Shift:

o 1st shift: Monday – Friday, 6am – 2:30pm

o 2nd shift: Monday – Friday, 2:30pm – 11:00pm

Position Summary:
We are hiring an experienced Forklift Operator to support material movement in a fast-paced fabrication environment. This role is responsible for safely transporting raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods while maintaining accuracy, productivity, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily forklift inspections (battery, brakes, seatbelt, controls, fire extinguisher)
• Safely operate forklift to move materials and products throughout the facility
• Identify and verify raw materials, WIP, and finished goods before transport
• Cross-reference materials with production and shipping schedules to ensure accuracy
• Transport and stage materials in designated work areas
• Report discrepancies, damages, or safety concerns to supervisors
• Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum 2-3 year of forklift experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience working with sheet metal materials required
• Basic computer skills
• Clean driving record with no property damage accidents in the past 3 years
• Strong hand-eye coordination and motor skills
• High attention to detail and safety awareness
• Reliable, dependable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to pass in-house forklift certification

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
• Stand for extended periods
• Frequent bending, kneeling, and stooping
• Ability to work in a fabrication shop environment (noise, dust, odors, chemicals)
