Now Hiring: Plating Technician

Location: Mansfield, Tx.
Schedule: Full-time | Overtime as needed
Pay: $20-$23 (Depending on experience)

Shift: Monday Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM (may extend to 5:306:00 PM). Fridays
are reserved for training and maintenance projects.


About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Plating Technician to support daily plating operations. This position plays a key role in ensuring high-quality production, safe handling of chemicals, and keeping plating processes running smoothly. Ideal candidates are reliable, safety-focused, and eager to learn.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with all plating operations, including:

    • Checking tanks, valves, filters, and preparing baths

    • Loading/unloading racks and placing loads into plating solutions

    • Monitoring production batches, solution circulation, pumps, and plumbing

    • Cleaning tanks, pumping out spent baths, and maintaining equipment

  • Communicate with Chemical Process Technicians to keep plating baths within required parameters

  • Maintain accurate tank records and documentation

  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe

  • Report spills, safety concerns, maintenance needs, or quality issues

  • Operate forklift and overhead hoist/crane (training provided if needed)

  • Support department goals and production schedules


Job Requirements

  • Ability to read and write English

  • Must be able to lift/carry up to 150 lbs. with assistance (average 40–60 lbs.)

  • Frequent standing, walking, stooping, climbing, and repetitive motions

  • Reliable attendance and the ability to work overtime as needed

  • Ability to read hazardous chemical labels

  • Visual inspection skills and ability to use precision measuring tools

  • Basic math skills (calculator allowed)

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team


Safety Requirements

  • Must use PPE at all times: safety glasses, boots, chemical-resistant gloves/aprons, respirator (as required)

  • Knowledge of proper lifting techniques

  • Understanding of acids, caustics, and safe handling procedures

  • Awareness of emergency showers, eyewash stations, extinguishers, first aid, and spill materials

  • Must follow all evacuation and safety protocols


Performance Indicators

  • Contribution to daily/weekly/monthly production goals

  • Effective communication with Leads, Technicians, and Supervisors

  • Consistent adherence to safety, quality, and operational standards
