Bilingual HR/Payroll Assistant in Burleson, TX

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM


Position Summary

Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, the HR/Payroll Assistant is responsible for payroll processing, employee relations, human resources administration, and compliance functions. This role ensures accurate payroll, supports employee benefits, manages hiring processes, and maintains regulatory compliance. MUST BE BILINGUAL (English and Spanish)


Key Responsibilities

Payroll

  • Correct timekeeping exceptions (missing punches, etc.)

  • Process bi-weekly payroll and run payroll checks

  • Distribute payroll checks by department

  • Email pay stubs as needed

  • Process new hires, rehires, and terminations

  • Enter and manage employee deductions (benefits, garnishments, levies, tool deductions, etc.)

  • Monitor and track employee vacation accruals

  • Verify and process accrued vacation payouts

  • Maintain performance review database and notify department heads

  • Process pay increases

  • Assist with 1094s, 1095s, W-2s, and related reporting/distribution


Human Resources

  • Manage employment and wage verifications

  • Process and verify unemployment claims

  • Prepare and coordinate employee benefit enrollments

  • Answer employee questions regarding benefits, COBRA, and HR matters

  • Investigate employee relations issues and assist with conflict resolution

  • Coordinate new driver additions to company auto insurance

  • Maintain accurate personnel and benefits files

  • Post job advertisements for open positions

  • Assist with safety and HR compliance matters


Hiring & Onboarding

  • Manage the full staffing process (interviewing and hiring)

  • Conduct applicant interviews and verify proper identification

  • Coordinate job placements with supervisors and Production Manager

  • Complete all new hire paperwork and reporting (federal/state)

  • Set up and maintain new employee files

  • Conduct new hire follow-up reviews


Additional Duties

  • Assist with annual audits

  • Oversee office supply purchasing

  • Support Accounting Manager as needed

  • Assist in supervising administrative support staff

  • Perform other duties as assigned
