MACHINE OPERATOR- Levels I and II – MIXER OPERATOR

Location: Arlington, TX
Pay: $16-$18.00/hour
Shift: Day Shift – Monday–Friday, typically 5:00 AM–1:30 PM
Current Schedule: 5:00 AM–3:30 PM

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are currently seeking an experienced Machine Operator- Levels I and II – Mixer Operator to join a busy manufacturing operation in Arlington. This is a hands-on position working with rubber mixing and processing machinery in a very hot and extremely dirty industrial environment.

The ideal candidate will have previous manufacturing experience, preferably with rubber processing, mixing equipment, or similar industrial machinery, and must be comfortable working in demanding conditions. Candidates who have successfully worked in hot, dirty manufacturing environments tend to be the best fit for this position.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Prepare and operate rubber mixing and processing machinery.
• Prepare the mixing line by checking equipment, temperatures, and safety conditions.
• Ensure all required production materials are available and properly staged.
• Load and unload rubber from skids.
• Inspect materials and finished products for quality and accuracy.
• Identify chemical labels and verify material weights.
• Accurately complete weighment reports and manufacturing paperwork.
• Coordinate with the mixer and production team regarding scheduling.
• Maintain accurate inventory and restock materials as needed.
• Repair defective batches under the direction of a supervisor.
• Clean equipment and maintain a safe, orderly work area.
• Assist with equipment maintenance when necessary.
• Assist with packaging materials for shipment.
• Cross-train and work in other production stations as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and established work instructions.
• May assist with training less experienced operators.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• At least 1 year of directly related experience.
• Previous manufacturing experience required.
• Rubber processing or mixing experience is a strong plus.
• Experience operating various rubber or industrial processing machinery preferred.
• Forklift, hoist, and crane experience required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification.
• Ability to read and follow written work instructions.
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Willingness to cross-train and work at different stations.
• Reliable attendance and ability to follow established call-in procedures.

PHYSICAL & WORK ENVIRONMENT

This is a physically demanding manufacturing position. The work environment is hot, dirty, and industrial, particularly during the summer months.

You should be comfortable with:

• Prolonged standing.
• Frequent bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and stooping.
• Climbing stairs.
• Working in hot conditions during the summer and cold conditions during the winter.
• Lifting, pulling, and carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Moving items over 75 lbs. with assistance.
• Working around rubber, machinery, and manufacturing materials.
