PackStaff is partnering with a growing food manufacturer seeking a Packaging Engineer to support new package development, packaging optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
This position offers the opportunity to work on projects from concept through commercialization while collaborating with operations, marketing, sales, supply chain, vendors, and customers.
The ideal candidate enjoys solving technical challenges, working across functions, and seeing ideas successfully move from development into production.
What You'll Be Doing
- Develop and evaluate new packaging concepts and technologies
- Improve existing packaging systems and manufacturing processes
- Lead packaging projects from concept through commercialization
- Conduct testing and validation of packaging materials and systems
- Support manufacturing operations by improving package and equipment performance
- Work with suppliers to address material quality and performance issues
- Contribute to cost-reduction and continuous improvement initiatives
- Develop packaging specifications and project documentation
- Support regulatory compliance for food-contact packaging materials
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the organization
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Packaging Engineering
- 2-5 years of relevant packaging experience
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

- Food, consumer products, or related manufacturing industries
- Flexible packaging materials
- Corrugated packaging systems
- Packaging equipment and manufacturing processes
- Cross-functional product development experience
