Schedule: 4-Day Work Week | Monday – Thursday | 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM (40 hours/week; daily 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM lunch break)
Position Summary
A premier, Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Auburn, NY is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join its expanding community dental practice.
Operating out of a brand-new, modern health center equipped with state-of-the-art clinical tools and technology, you will deliver high-quality preventative and therapeutic dental care to a diverse patient population. The facility prioritizes provider satisfaction by purchasing the specific instruments and product lines you prefer for patient care, while offering a structured 4-day workweek (Fridays through Sundays off) with predictable 45-minute hygiene appointments.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive oral hygiene treatments, adult and pediatric prophylaxes, periodontal scaling and root planing, fluoride applications, and dental sealants.
- Conduct thorough oral screenings, periodontal probing, and intraoral assessments; capture diagnostic digital X-rays and document findings accurately.
- Educate patients on customized oral hygiene techniques, post-treatment care, and nutritional habits to promote long-term oral health.
- Efficiently manage a structured patient load scheduled every 45 minutes, ensuring punctual care delivery while maintaining patient comfort.
- Maintain strict sterilization and infection control standards, adhering to OSHA, CDC, and HIPAA regulations.
- Work closely with staff dentists, dental assistants, and administrative teams using electronic dental software (Dentrix/Medent) to manage care records and follow-up care schedules.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Active and unrestricted Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license and Dental License in the State of New York required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required; Infection Control certification preferred.
- 1+ years of hands-on experience using Dentrix or MEDENT practice management software highly preferred.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with a warm, patient-centered clinical approach.
- High organizational ability, strong ethical standards, and meticulous recordkeeping capabilities.

Compensation Note
- Salary Scale: The posted annual salary range represents base pay for a standard 40-hour workweek. Final salary placement within this range is determined by clinical experience, software background, and overall qualifications.
