Responsibilities:

  • Be the compassionate caregiver for employees who are injured or fall ill at the workplace, providing immediate attention and tending to their needs
  • Respond swiftly in emergencies, delivering critical care and ensuring employees receive timely medical assistance
  • Stay vigilant, identifying any noticeable abnormalities and promptly reporting them to management and higher authorities
  • Perform a wide range of duties, including regular checks of vital signs, responding promptly to employee discomfort, and seeking medical advice when necessary
  • Collaborate with doctors, alerting them to any complications or new illnesses that may arise in patients
  • Maintain meticulous documentation, recording all workplace injuries and ensuring accurate records for future reference
  • Conduct drug screens for new hires, post-accidents, and when suspicions arise, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment
  • Perform comprehensive medical screenings for new employees, promoting a healthy workforce from the start
  • Educate employees about potential workplace injuries, fostering a culture of safety and proactive health awareness
  • Manage Workers Comp files and diligently document lost time hours, ensuring proper records are maintained
  • Take on additional duties as assigned, contributing to the smooth operation and well-being of the organization

 

Requirements:

  • Two-year college Degree in Nursing
  • CPR certified
  • Confirmation of completing the National Council Licensure Examination (NCL-EX) to work as a Licensed Practical Nurse

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficient in observing and assessing both workers and the work environment to identify potential health and safety risks.
  • Comfortable working with patients of diverse health conditions and temperaments, demonstrating empathy and providing appropriate care.
  • Strong computer skills to effectively store and manage patient history and data for accurate documentation.
  • Capable of providing continuous care throughout the duration of a shift, ensuring the well-being of individuals in need.
  • Skilled in thorough and accurate documentation of injuries or illnesses, maintaining organized records.
  • Vigilant in monitoring the work environment for potential exposures or hazards, taking proactive measures to mitigate risks and promote a safe workplace.
